Students learned about the engineering profession and engineering opportunities available here in southeastern Wisconsin.

For Carthage engineering students, this annual brunch is the culminating experience of their College Success Seminar course. During the course, students learn about Carthage’s resources for developing professional resumes, finding internships, and developing a personal elevator pitch to use when networking. All students are given the names and LinkedIn profiles of attending professionals prior to the brunch. Students develop a strategy for how to approach the event and arrive ready to impress with their resumes in-hand. Beyond networking, the brunch allows engineering students to learn about the interdisciplinary nature of the engineering profession, the importance of a cross-disciplinary training, and the value of a liberal arts education for lifetime career success.
